ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Monitor the operation of the designated molding machine and any related auxiliary equipment in an efficient and safe manner.
  • Visually inspect cable ties/parts and packages (bags/labels) to ensure good, consistent quality of the final product.
  • Manually bag cable ties, seal and label packages as required.
  • Verify the count of the product being packed, utilizing a scale to confirm weights and manually count parts as needed.
  • Re-pack, re-seal and/or re-label packages as may be required.
  • Box packages per specified case-counts.
  • Effectively communicate with on-coming shift to inform them of any machine performance or other issues during shift.
  • Notify Cell Leader, Mold Technician, QC Inspector or Shift Supervisor of any problems with machinery and/or parts being produced.
  • Perform routine housekeeping of assigned machine work area.
  • Assist in training new Packers as needed.
  • Quality is everyone’s responsibility.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Must have good attention to detail and be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team, and follow verbal and/or written instructions.
  • Ability to perform fundamental math such as, add, subtract, multiply and divide.
  • Ability to routinely lift and stack materials up to 40 pounds.
  • Must have good vision, either with or without corrective lenses.
  • Must be able to read/write English language.

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The work environment is typical of clean manufacturing, using robotic systems.  At times, the work environment is that of a working warehouse due to the use of material handling equipment.  The noise level is consistent with system alarms and overhead announcements.  Occasional smell of and/or smoke from hot plastic.  Must be able to bend, lift and stack materials up to 40 lbs.  Work is performed while standing within a limited area for extended periods of time.
